PUMPKIN SOUP FROM BRAZIL 
3 tbsp. butter, melted in 4 qt. saucepan
1 c. chopped onion
4 c. pumpkin, canned
4 c. chicken broth
1 tsp. salt
Dash white pepper
Dash cayenne or red pepper
2 c. light cream
Dash nutmeg

Melt butter and saute onions. Add pumpkin, chicken broth, salt, pepper and cayenne. Boil gently 30 minutes. Mix in light cream and heat barely to boiling. Remove from heat. Adjust seasonings. Dust with nutmeg. Serve.
