FRIED OKRA - CREOLE STYLE 
2 lbs. fresh okra
2 pkgs. dried shrimp
1 (8 oz.) can tomatoes
2 link sausage
1 sm. onion
Salt and pepper to taste

Soak dried shrimp in water about 10 minutes. Brown sausage and drain off excess grease. Cut okra in small pieces. Fry in 2 tablespoons of oil, stirring constantly. Add onions, salt and pepper. When the onions are brown, add drained shrimp to onions and okra mixture. Simmer about 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Add sausage and tomatoes. Cover and simmer about 15 minutes over low heat. One can of whole kernel corn (drained) may also be added.
