HOMEMADE ICE CREAM | |
1 gal. milk 6 eggs 1 can Eagle Brand milk 1 box junket ice cream mix 3 tbsp. flour 1 tbsp. lemon extract 1/2 tsp. salt 2 c. sugar Beat eggs, Eagle Brand milk, sugar, flour, salt and extract together. Pour in gallon of milk and stir until mixed. Put in gallon freezer can. Start your freezer turning for 1 minute, then start filling the freezer with ice. When it is 1/2 full of ice, pour in 1 cup ice cream salt and finish filling ice in freezer. Cover top of freezer with ice and put another cup of salt over top of completely filled freezer. Cover with towel and start turning. Check ice in freezer as you are turning. Check side hole in freezer as ice is added, making sure water is draining as needed. Add salt each time ice is added. |
