MOM'S VEGETABLE SOUP 
2 to 2 1/2 lb. beef, cut into sm. cubes
5 med. potatoes, diced
6 carrots, diced
1 lg. onion, chopped
1/2 head cabbage, shredded
1 qt. green beans
1 pt. corn
1 pt. peas
1 qt. tomato juice
Salt and pepper to taste

Put beef cubes in a 5 or 6 quart pan. Bring to a boil, cover, and cook over medium heat for 2 hours. Add potatoes, carrots, onion, and cabbage and cook for 1 more hour. Add green beans, corn, peas, and tomato juice and simmer for 1 hour. Salt and pepper to taste.
