POPCORN SCRAMBLE | |
In large oven-proof dishpan or bowl, combine and toss lightly first 5 ingredients. 6 c. popped corn 2 c. peanuts 2 c. Crispix cereal 2 c. sm. pretzels 1 c. brown sugar 1/4 c. light Karo syrup 1 stick butter 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla In large oven-proof dishpan or bowl, combine popped corn, peanuts, cereal and small pretzels. Set aside. In a 6 quart saucepan, combine and melt brown sugar, light Karo syrup and 1 stick butter. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and cook 5 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat and add baking soda and vanilla. Stir well. Pour over popcorn mixture and coat well. Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour. Stir every 15 minutes. |
