HOMEMADE "CHEESE & MACARONI" | |
1/2 block Velveeta cheese (1/2 of a 2 lb. block) 2 boxes of "lots of value" macaroni (any style) with powder 2 sticks of butter 2 c. milk Pinch of salt & pepper Optional: Add more milk Boil macaroni until tender; drain off water. Put into bigger saucepan. Pour milk in first. Turn burner on medium-high. Add butter and salt. If you want to have a little more color, add powder cheese from boxes. Slowly cut up Velveeta cut into long thin strips. It'll take about 1/2 of a 2 lb. block, if you like it really cheesy. Keep stirring so it doesn't burn. It takes about 20 minutes to melt all of it. Turn burner to warm or simmer. Let stand if you want it thicker. Serve and see them devour. Serves 4-5 people. |
