2 sq. unsweetened chocolate 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter 2 eggs 1 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. sifted regular flour 1/8 tsp. salt 1 c. chopped walnuts Melt chocolate with butter in a small saucepan. Beat eggs until foamy in a large bowl; beat in sugar gradually until fluffy thick. (Takes about 10 minutes.) Stir in vanilla and chocolate mixture, then fold in flour, salt and walnuts. Spread in a greased baking pan, 8x8x2. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) 30 minutes or until shiny and firm on top. Cool in pan on a wire rack; cut into 2 inch squares. |
