SOFT PRETZELS 
1/2 pkg. yeast
3/4 c. warm water
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1/2 well-beaten egg
Coarse salt

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar and salt. Dissolve completely. Measure flour in large bowl. Add yeast mixture. Knead on a lightly floured board until the dough feels smooth and elastic. Cut into small pieces. Roll into ropes and twist into pretzel shape. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet and brush with beaten egg. Sprinkle with coarse salt. Bake at 425 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Serve warm and spread with mustard, if desired.
