BAKED GERMAN POTATO SALAD | |
6 med. (2 lb.) potatoes, I don't peel 6 slices bacon, optional 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 c. chopped celery 1 1/2 tbsp. flour 2 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. cider vinegar 1 c. water Optional - celery salt or hard cooked egg Cook potatoes; drain. Peel, slice into a pan or casserole. In a skillet saute in 1/4 cup oil (some olive), onion, celery. Stir in flour, sugar, salt, pepper, vinegar and water. Cook, stirring until thickened. Pour over potatoes and toss. Crumble bacon and stir in. Bake for about 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees. |
