NORWEGIAN APPLE PIE | |
3/4 c. sugar 1/2 c. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1 egg 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. diced apples (1 or 2) (I use red delicious) Combine sugar, flour, salt and baking powder. Stir well. Beat in egg and vanilla with whisk or spoon. Stir in peeled and diced apples. Mixture becomes very thick. Spoon into 8 or 9 inch buttered pie plate and spread somewhat evenly. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve warm or cold, plain or with ice cream or whipped cream. Serves 6. |
