1 head lettuce 1 med. onion, chopped 2 tomatoes, chopped 1 sm. can green chilies, drained & chopped 1 c. grated sharp cheddar cheese 1 lb. ground beef 1 pkg. taco seasoning 1/2 c. mild taco sauce 1/2 c. red wine vinegar & oil dressing 6 oz. nacho chips, broken Tear lettuce and place in bottom of large salad bowl. Layer with onion, tomatoes, green chilies and cheese. Saute beef and drain. Add taco seasoning, following package directions using only 2/3 the amount of water. Mix taco sauce with dressing and blend well. Add beef; mix well. Place beef mixture in salad bowl. Sprinkle chips over beef and toss. Serve warm or chilled. |
