30 MINUTE ROLLS 
2 pkgs. yeast, dissolved in 1 1/4 c. warm water
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
3 c. flour
2 tbsp. shortening
1 1/4 tsp. salt

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add flour and shortening. Add sugar, salt and egg. Beat with electric mixer on low or medium speed. Put in greased muffin tins. Let rise for 30 minutes. Bake at 375 degrees to 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Yield: 2 dozen.
