5 POUND CANDY 
3 lb. white sugar
1 bottle white Karo syrup
1 lg. can Carnation milk
1 c. whole milk
1 c. or 1/2 lb. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Place first 5 ingredients in deep pan (not less than 4 quarts). Cook 238 degrees or hard ball in cold water. Stir often! Cool. Beat until creamy and holds shape. Add nuts and vanilla before pouring into greased (butter, butter) pan.
