TOMATO GRAVY | |
Heat 1 quart tomato juice, 1/2 cup sugar and a little salt and pepper. Make a white sauce of 2 or 3 tablespoons flour and enough cream to make a thin paste. Add to the heated tomato juice and have some rich milk handy to thin gravy to right consistency to pour over a slice of bread. We eat this for breakfast with a hot cup of coffee or tea. |
