2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. mace
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. sugar
3 eggs
1/3 c. molasses
1/2 c. milk
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. chopped raisins
2 c. mixed candied fruits
1 pkg. (2 layer) white cake mix

Bake fruit cake in 2 layers. Bake 1 white cake layer, put together with Lemon Filling.

LEMON COCONUT FILLING:

3/4 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
3/4 c. cold water
1 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. grated lemon peel
1/4 c. lemon juice
1/2 c. flaked coconut
