FRENCH ONION CASSEROLE 
4 lg. sweet onions, peeled & sliced 1/4 inch thick
3 tbsp. butter
1/2 lb. Swiss cheese, grated
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. lite soy sauce
8 slices French bread, buttered, 1/4 inch thick

Saute onion until tender. Spoon into dish. Spread cheese over onions. Heat soup, milk and soy sauce together until well blended, pour over onions and cheese. Mix gently. Place bread on top overlapping as necessary. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
