HOT BEEF SANDWICHES 
1 tbsp. shortening
1 lb. ground beef
1 c. chopped green peppers
1 c. chopped onions
1 c. catsup
2 tbsp. prepared mustard
1 tsp. sugar
1 tbsp. vinegar
Toasted bread

Melt oil in large saucepan. Put in beef and break it with a fork as it browns. Prepare the vegetable mixture by combining pepper, onions, catsup, mustard, sugar and vinegar. Add vegetable mixture to beef. Turn heat low and simmer for 30 minutes, covered. Serve on toasted bread.
