BROWN SUGAR POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. butter
1 lb. box light brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
5 eggs
1 tbsp. vanilla
3 c. sifted flour (cake flour)
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. black walnuts
1 c. milk

Beat butter and butter together, gradually add sugar, creaming until light and fluffy. Beat eggs, adding one at a time. Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk and vanilla to the creamy mixture. Stir in nuts. Pour into a 10" tube pan which has been greased and floured. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done when tested with a straw. Cool 10 minutes and remove from pan. Glaze over hot cake.

WALNUT GLAZE:

1 c. confectioners' sugar
2 tbsp. butter
6 tbsp. cream
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped

Cream sugar and butter, then add cream and vanilla. Then add walnuts, blend well. Dribble this over hot cake.
