RUSSIAN TEA CAKES | |
2 c. flour 1/4 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. butter 2 tsp. vanilla 2 c. chopped pecans (fine) - I do this in Cuisinart Mix dry ingredients. Cut in butter and vanilla with pastry blender. Add nuts. Shape into 1/2 inch balls. Place 1 1/2 inches apart on greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. They will be barely brown. Gently put cookies on platter. Roll in confectioners' sugar (sifted) when still warm. Makes 4 dozen. |
