VINEGAR TAFFY 
4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. vinegar

Boil all ingredients to a hard-boil stage. Pour into 9x11x2 buttered pan. Cool until hardened. Rub hands with butter before handling, taffy will turn creamy white. Cut into pieces, wrap with wax paper. Store in airtight container.
