1. Saute 1 medium onion, finely chopped; 1 clove of garlic, minced; and 1/2 pound slices fresh mushrooms.
2. Remove onion, garlic and mushrooms from pan. To remaining fat, add 1 pound ground beef. Cook over medium heat until meat is well browned.
3. Combine one number 2 1/2 can tomatoes; 2 cans Italian style tomato paste; 1 medium green pepper, chopped; 1 teaspoon salt; and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Add to meat.
4. Return garlic, onion, and mushrooms to sauce; simmer over low heat for 2 hours; stir occasionally. Serve over cooked spaghetti.
