SCALLOPED OYSTERS | |
2 pts. oysters 2-3 tubes saltines 3/4 c. butter, melted 1 pt. cream or half and half Crush saltines to coarse crumbs. Mix with melted butter. Butter 10" pie plate. Starting with saltines, layer crumbs and oysters ending with crumbs and seasoning each layer with salt and pepper to taste. Slowly pour cream over all just to cover top layer. Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 400 degrees. |
