CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1 c. sifted whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. soft butter
2 tbsp. honey
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg yolk
1/2 c. semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Set butter and eggs out of refrigerator 2 hours before cooking time to come to room temperature. Set oven at 350 degrees. Sift flour. Measure. Sift again with baking powder. Cream butter; add honey and vanilla. Cream and beat until fluffy. Add egg yolk and beat until very fluffy. Add flour, chocolate chips and walnuts. Mix only enough to make uniform dough. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Press flat. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on wire rack. Makes 20 (2 inch) cookies.
