PORK CHOPS MEXICANO 
6 pork chops
Salad oil
3/4 c. uncooked regular rice
1 1/2 c. water
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 1/4 oz. pkg. taco seasoning
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
Green pepper, sliced in rings

Sprinkle chops with salt; brown both sides in a small amount of oil. Drain. Place in 13"x9" dish. Sprinkle rice around chops. Combine water, tomato sauce, taco seasoning and salt; pour over chops and rice. Cover tightly and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Remove cover and sprinkle cheese and top with green pepper. Cover and bake 15 minutes or until chops are done and rice is tender.
