APPLE-GINGERBREAD COBBLER 
2 lg. apples, peeled and sliced
3/8 c. sugar
2 tsp. lemon juice
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/8 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
3/8 tsp. ginger
3/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. sour milk
1 egg
1/4 c. molasses
2 tbsp. melted butter

Mix apples, sugar and lemon juice. Bake at 450 degree for 10-15 minutes. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, salt, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. Mix together sour milk, egg, molasses, and melted butter. Then add dry ingredients, stirring lightly. Do not beat. Spread over the hot apples and bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes in 8 x 8 or 9 x 9 inch pan.
