FILLING: Cook first so it can cool. Cook until thick. 1 1/2 c. sugar 3 tbsp. flour 1 egg Juice and rind of 1 lemon 2 c. water CRUST: 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. butter 1 egg 1/2 c. milk 3 tsp. baking powder 2 1/2 c. flour (use more, if needed) Mix sugar, butter, and egg together. Then add milk, baking powder, and flour. Roll out crust and put in greased pans. Makes three 8-inch pies. Save enough dough for strips on top of pie. Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour or more. Cool crusts and then pour in filling. |
