SCALLOPED POTATOES 
3 qt. thick sliced potatoes
1 tbsp. salt

Boil potatoes in salt water until done but not over cooked. Drain and put in large baking dish. Add cheese sauce and top with 4 slices of sliced cheese.

CHEESE SAUCE:

1 stick butter
4 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 pt. milk
1 scant tsp. salt
3/4 lb. Velveeta cheese

Melt butter in saucepan, add flour, salt and a little pepper and stir constantly for two minutes. Add milk and cheese and boil until cheese melts and the sauce thickens. Pour over potatoes and put the sliced cheese on top. Bake at 350 degrees until the cheese browns, about 15 minutes.
