LIGHT MELT IN THE MOUTH ROLLS
3 c. warm water
1 tbsp. salt
4 beaten eggs
Plain flour
1 c. sugar
2 pkgs. yeast
1 c. melted shortening

Melt butter for dripping. (Recipe can be halved.) Put warm water, sugar, salt, and yeast in a large mixing bowl. Let set about 5 minutes. Add beaten eggs and melted shortening to the above mixture and beat at a low speed. Add enough flour (plain) to make a heavy batter.

Cover and refrigerate overnight. Turn on a well floured board and knead well. Roll and cut out rolls. Dip in melted butter. Fold in half. Place in a pan. Let ripe until double in size. Bake at 375 degrees. Makes 6 dozen rolls.
