CURRIED SAUCE FOR TURKEY OR
CHICKEN
 
1/4 c. butter
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 apple, peeled, cored and chopped
1 tsp. curry powder
1/4 c. flour
1 c. chicken broth
1 c. (1/2 pt.) light cream
Salt and pepper

In a sauce pan, melt butter and saute garlic, onion and apple for 5 minutes. Stir in curry powder and saute for 1 minute more. Stir in flour and gradually add chicken broth and cream. Stir over low heat until sauce bubbles and thickens. Season to taste and add salt and pepper. Goes well with savory crescent chicken squares.
