CHOCOLATE FRUIT CAKE | |
1/3 c. butter 1/4 c. packed brown sugar 1 tsp. orange extract 3 eggs 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate, melted 2 c. mixed fruit 1/2 c. sifted flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 c. water 1 c. nuts Cream butter, sugar and extract. Add eggs, one at a time. Blend in cooled chocolate. Add dry ingredients, sifted together, alternately with water. Add fruit and nuts. Bake in a greased and floured 9-inch tube pan for 50 minutes at 350°F. |
