HOMEMADE GRANOLA 
8 oz. Quaker oatmeal (not the instant or quick-cook kind)
1/2 c. sesame seeds
1/2 c. sunflower seeds
1 c. wheat germ
1 1/2 c. nuts (chopped pecans and/or slivered almonds)
1/2 c. coconut
1/2 c. boiling water
1/3 c. corn or safflower oil
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. dried fruit (raisins, chopped dates and/or chopped apricots)

Mix all dry ingredients together (except fruit). Mix all wet ingredients together. Toss both mixtures in a large bowl.

Bake in large casserole or baking pan 1 hour at 350 degrees, stirring occasionally. Add fruit last. Store in airtight container. Can be frozen for longer storage.
