EGGNOG BREAD | |
3 c. all-purpose flour 4 tsp. baking powder 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 tsp. salt 1 beaten egg 1 3/4 c. eggnog 1/2 c. cooking oil 1/2 c. chopped pecans 1/2 c. golden raisins 1/2 c. sifted 10X sugar 2 to 3 tsp. eggnog In a large mixing bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. In another bowl combine the egg, eggnog and oil. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until combined. Turn into a greased loaf pan and bake in a 350 degree oven for 60 to 70 minutes. If bread is browning too fast, cover with foil. Cool bread in the pan for about 10 minutes, then cool on a wire rack. Wrap the bread and store overnight. Next day, stir together the 10X sugar and eggnog and drizzle over the bread. |
