24 HOUR LETTUCE SALAD 
1 head lettuce, cut or torn
1/2 chopped green pepper
1 c. chopped celery
1 bunch green onions, chopped tops and all
1 can sliced water chestnuts

Toss above ingredients and mix well. Cover with 1 package frozen peas, crumbled. Cover all with 2 cups mayonnaise and 3 tablespoons mixed. Sprinkle top with grated Cheddar cheese. Refrigerate for 8 hours and serve.
