BANANA SPLIT DESSERT | |
1 pkg. yellow cake mix 1/2 c. butter, softened 1 egg FILLING: 1 can chocolate frosting spread 3 bananas, sliced 1 env. unflavored gelatin 3 tbsp. boiling water 3 c. whipping cream, whipped 8 oz. cream cheese, softened Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl combine base ingredients. Mix at low speed until crumbly. Press in bottom of ungreased 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes or until light golden brown; cool. Spread 3/4 cup frosting over base (reserve remaining frosting). Arrange banana in single layer over frosting. Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. In large bowl combine dissolved gelatin and reserved remaining frosting. Beat until well combined. Add cream cheese and 1/3 of whipping cream; beat until smooth. Spread evenly over bananas. Spread remaining whipped cream evenly over bananas. Spread remaining whipped cream evenly over top of dessert. Refrigerate several hours or overnight. Store in refrigerator. Serves 16. |
