BANANA SPLIT DESSERT 
2 c. graham cracker crumbs
1/2 c. butter, melted
2 c. 10x sugar
1/2 c. soft butter
6 sliced bananas
9 oz. Cool Whip
1 lg. (No. 2) can or 20 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained
Chopped peanuts
Maraschino cherries, cut up

LAYER I: Mix graham cracker crumbs and 1/2 cup butter, melted and press into a 9 x 13 inch pan.

LAYER II: Mix 10x sugar and 1/2 cup butter. I use 4 ounces cream cheese or could use half butter and half cream cheese.

LAYER III: One large (No. 2) or 20 ounce can crushed pineapple, drained.

LAYER IV: Let 6 sliced bananas stand in pineapple juice so they won't turn brown.

LAYER V: 9 ounces Cool Whip.

LAYER VI: Sprinkle with chopped peanut sand cut up maraschino cherries.
