ENGLISH MUFFIN BREAD 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1 c. milk
1/4 c. water

Mix 1 1/2 cups flour and yeast in large mixing bowl. Add sugar, salt and baking soda. In small saucepan heat milk and water to 120 to 130 degrees. Add milk mixture to flour mixture and stir. Mix in last 1 cup flour. Grease glass loaf pan and sprinkle all over with cornmeal. Spoon batter into loaf pan and sprinkle top with cornmeal. Cover with greased plastic wrap (grease just enough to cover dough). Let raise 45 minutes. Bake for 6 minutes and 30 seconds on turntable at high setting. Let stand 5 minutes. Slice, toast and eat.
