TOMATO SOUP 
6 lg. tomatoes, chopped & peeled
1/2 c. minced celery
1 tbsp. cider vinegar
1/2 tsp. sage
1/4 c. tomato paste
Salt & pepper to taste
1 stick butter
1/2 onion
1 tbsp. sugar
2 whole cloves
4 c. chicken broth
Pinch of soda

Simmer for 35 minutes or until soft. Puree the mixture through a food mill into a pan. Add 4 cups chicken stock, 1/4 cup tomato paste, pinch of soda, salt and pepper to taste. Bring the liquid to a boil and simmer the mixture for 15 minutes. Serve soup with light cream around the top.
