LASAGNA 
1 lb. bulk Italian sausage
1 med. onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, pressed or chopped
1 (24 oz.) can whole tomatoes
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 can red wine
1 tbsp. parsley
1 tsp. each basil, oregano, Italian spices, sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 pkg. lasagna noodles
1 pt. Ricotta cheese or cottage cheese
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
2 c. Mozzarella cheese

1. Brown sausage, onion and garlic in large saucepan. Drain grease. Add tomatoes, sauce, wine and spices and sugar. Simmer uncovered for 1 hour under low heat.

2. Cook noodles according to package directions. Rinse and drain.

3. Mix Ricotta cheese and 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese together. Grate Mozzarella cheese.

4. Layer 1/3 each of the sauce, then the noodles, sauce, Ricotta cheese, Mozzarella cheese in large baking dish size 9 x 13 x 2 inches. Repeat 2 times. Top with Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Cook uncovered in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes before serving.

5. Cut into squares to serve. Serves 6-8 people. Accompany with a cauesar salad and garlic bread for a complete meal.
