FRESH FRUIT COBBLER 
1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar, divided
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tbsp. baking powder
3/4 c. milk
Dash of salt
2 c. sliced fruit, apples, apricots, or peaches

Melt butter in a 2-quart baking dish. Combine 1 cup sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt. Add milk. Stir until mixed. Pour batter over butter in baking dish. DO NOT STIR.

Combine fresh fruit and remaining 1 cup sugar, spoon of batter. DO NOT STIR. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Serves 6 to 8 servings.
