SCONES 
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. sour milk or buttermilk
1/4 tsp. salt

Mix well, roll, cut into biscuits. Drop on hot griddle in hot fat. Turn once. You may add a little water to batter to make dropped scones. Makes 6 scones. Spread with butter, jelly, or cream cheese.
