FRUITED SPARERIBS 
4 lbs. meaty pork ribs, cut in 2 rib sections
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. vinegar
2 c. apple juice
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
3 tbsp. ground sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
3 c. drained fresh fruit (or canned), any combo

Sprinkle ribs with salt and pepper. Place ribs meat side down in shallow roast pan. Bake uncovered in 450 degree oven for 30 minutes. Remove and drain off fat. Meanwhile, in saucepan, cook onion, cinnamon and nutmeg in butter until tender. Stir in brown sugar, cornstarch and remaining salt. Blend in juice and vinegar. Cook. Stir well until thickened and bubbly. Add fruit over ribs. Pour sauce over all. Bake 20 to 30 minutes.
