PEAR PRESERVES 
1 c. sugar for each c. of pears

Wash, peel, quarter, core and slice pears real thin. Add 1 cup sugar for each cup of pears and sit overnight. Bring mixture to boil on high. Turn down to medium heat. Cook until color turns. Stir often. When syrup thickens to make thread, remove from heat. Cool enough to put in jars.
