VANILLA WAFER CAKE 
1 (12 oz.) box vanilla wafers
2 sticks butter
2 c. sugar
6 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1 c. chopped pecans
1 (7 oz.) pkg. coconut
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Cream butter with 2 cups sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each. Add vanilla extract. Crush vanilla wafers. Add to creamed mixture alternating with milk. Add chopped pecans and coconut. Bake 1 to 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees in a greased or wax paper lined tube pan.
