1 c. mayonnaise
1 c. sugar
2 c. self-rising flour
1 c. water
4 tbsp. cocoa
3 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix flour, sugar, cocoa and soda. Add all other ingredients and stir well with a spoon. Grease and flour oblong cake pan or long casserole dish. Pour in batter. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.

ICING:

Mix 2 cups sugar, 1/4 cup cocoa. Then add 2/3 cup sweet milk. Boil 4 minutes; remove from heat. Add 1 stick butter. Cool and beat. Pour over warm cake.
