FRESH STRAWBERRY PIE | |
1 (9 inch) baked pie shell 1 qt. ripe strawberries, stems removed 1 c. sugar 1 c. water 1 tsp. vanilla 2 tbsp. cornstarch and enough water to make a paste Few drops red food coloring Bring water and sugar to a boil. Add food coloring, thicken with cornstarch paste. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Place destemmed strawberries in pie shell and pour sauce over berries. Cool and refrigerate until set. |
