FRESH STRAWBERRY PIE 
1 (9 inch) baked pie shell
1 qt. strawberries
1 1/2 c. water
2 tbsp. cornstarch
3/4 c. sugar
1 pkg. strawberry Jello
Whipped cream (opt.)

Wash berries. Pat dry. Spread over cooked pie shell. Combine water, cornstarch and sugar in a saucepan. Cook to a boil then let cool for 2 minutes or until mixture is thick and clear. Remove from heat and add Jello. Stir until dissolved while still hot. Pour over strawberries. Cool and serve with whipped cream. Preparation time: 45 minutes. Serves: 6.
