SWEETHEART COOKIES 
1 c. butter, softened
2 (3 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese
1 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. oats, uncooked
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Mix cheese and butter until creamy. Add sugar, mix well. Add vanilla and beat. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to mixture. Stir in oats and nuts. Chill several hours. Use 1 inch of dough for each cookie, shaping into heart or flatten. Bake at 350 degrees on ungreased cookie sheet for 12 to 15 minutes.

PINK FROSTING:

2 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
2 tbsp. soft butter
4 tsp. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 to 3 drops red food coloring

Combine butter, milk, sugar and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Add color. Blend well. Frost cooled cookies. Makes about 4 dozen.
