HOLIDAY HONEYSNAPS 
1 1/2 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. honey
4 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
Sugar

Cream shortening and 2 cups sugar in bowl until smooth. Beat in eggs and honey. Add dry ingredients and vanilla mixing well. Shape into 1" balls. Roll in sugar. Place 2" apart on baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until slightly browned. Yield: 5 dozen.

NOTE: If butter is substituted, use a little more flour.

Can roll into balls better when dough is chilled.
