WHITE FRUIT CAKE | |
2 c. sugar 3 c. sifted flour 6 eggs, separated 1 lb. butter 3 tbsp. pure lemon extract 1/2 lb. red candied cherries, chopped 1/4 lb. green candied pineapple, chopped 1 lb. golden raisins 1 qt. pecan halves Mix butter and sugar; add egg yolks, flour and lemon extract. Add stiffly beaten egg whites. Fold in nuts and fruit. Grease and flour pans. Cook in 250 degree oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. |
