CHOCOLATE RASPBERRY BARS 
1 1/2 c. rolled oats
1 1/4 c. flour
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2/3 c. butter, melted
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 (6 oz.) pkg. (1 c.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (12 oz.) jar seedless raspberry preserves

Combine oats, flour, sugar, butter, nuts and soda; mix until crumbly. Press 2 to 2 1/2 cups of mixture into bottom of 9 x 13 inch ungreased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate pieces over base. Spread preserves over chips. Top with remaining crumb mixture. Continue baking 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Chill 1 to 2 hours, cut into bars. Store securely wrapped in refrigerator.
